Elizabeth Mitchell

Hailing from Los Angeles, Elizabeth Mitchell attended the Booker T. Washington High School For the Performing and Visual Arts and graduated from Stephens College where she gained a Bachelor of Fine Arts Degree. Mitchell is married to actor Chris Soldevilla and the couple has a four year-old son named Christopher Joseph, C.J. for short. Mitchell also has two sisters named Kate and Kristie. Mitchell first television role was as Dinah McKenzie on ABC’s short-lived soap opera Loving. She was the second person to take on the role of Dinah during the show’s brief run. Mitchell can also be noted for being the first lesbian lover Dr. Kerry Weaver on NBC’s ER and the lesbian lover for the troubled supermodel Gia Carangi in the film Gia, which starred Angelina Jolie in the title role. Other prominent roles include the object of Kris Kringle’s affection, Carol Newman, in the Tim Allen films, The Santa Clause 2 and The Santa Clause 3: The Escape Clause. But it was her role as Dr. Juliet Burke on the ABC phenomenon, LOST, that shot Mitchell to worldwide fame. She gained a Best Supporting Actress on Television Saturn Award for her portrayal of Other defector Juliet, who joined the castaways in trying to leave the mysterious Island. Mitchell’s current role is that of FBI Agent Erica Evans on ABC’s new sci-fi hit, V, a revival of NBC’s 1983 miniseries. Erica Evans is a no nonsense taking FBI agent, who fights terrorist cells and the angst of her teenage son, Tyler. When the Visitors arrive, Erica’s personal life and professional life collide as she fights to save her son’s life and the lives of the entire human race.
